Chill'n Oru Jazz is an invitation to play without boundaries. Coming from different musical places (some read: culture clash!), the band is united in seeking twisted sonic fun. This set is focused on genre-bending, improvisation and being expressive in the musical moment. Our small jazz combo is a vehicle to traverse eclectic combinations and take listeners through unique uncharted territories.

Gautam Menon Quartet

Gautam Menon Quartet presents genre-blending ethno-jazz music that weaves the melodic depth of Carnatic music with the improvisational freedom of modern jazz. With pulsating rhythmic cycles, modal exploration, and spontaneous interplay at its core, they create music that is both rooted in tradition and alive with contemporary energy. Their sound features Carnatic-influenced composition techniques - intricate rhythmic motifs, raga-based melodies, and layered improvisation - that dovetail seamlessly with jazz harmony and groove. The result is an expressive, cinematic, and exploratory musical experience where every performance becomes a fresh conversation between cultures, instruments, and ideas.

Solsuss

Solsuss is a trio of contemporary musicians performing soulful and swinging, traditional jazz with their own improvisational style. Featuring Aravind on violin, John on guitar and Surya on piano.

Srie's BessyBop

Srie's BessyBop is where indie songwriting meets late-night jazz clubs; with old-school rock 'n' roll spirit and colourful Indian drama. Fronted by singer-songwriter Srie with her evocative originals, this four-piece Chennai-based ensemble - vocals, keys, bass, and drums - brings together groove-heavy rhythms, soulful improvisation, and melodies that linger long after the music ends.

The Jazz Affair

A dynamic four-piece ensemble founded by violinist Neil Sha. Known for their improvisational jazz, all members are part of the Tuesday Jazzers Collective and have performed at venues across Chennai including Alliance Française of Madras and the Inko Centre.

The Living Room Trio is a jazz ensemble based in Chennai with three talented musicians. Their repertoire is entirely dedicated to traditional jazz and improvised music, bringing timeless classics for the jazz-craving audience.

This Isn't England

This Isn't England is a band of four friends and musicians who met through the Tuesday Jazzers Collective in Chennai. Hailing from different states across India, and even further afield from the UK, the four are bound by a love of jazz, and contemporary improvised music. Together they explore classic Jazz music, and more contemporary pieces, playing tribute to the great jazz musicians of the past while bringing their own unique improvisation, style, and interpretations.
